This is yet another project utilizing cardboard. It is such a cheap and versatile medium, I simply can't get enough of it. My work place received a lot of supplies this week, so I couldn't resist all that cardboard. I'm calling this little project "The Bunny Loft", but it would also work for any small animal.

I have done a lot of my bead work using a square stitch mainly because the only loom I have is very small, and very basic. Square stitch is great, and has a nice clean finish, but it takes forever! After doing some online window shopping for a larger loom I decided I could make myself a temporary one out cardboard.

It has been a while since the last time I posted. Lots of things have been going on in my work and personal life keeping me busy, but I have been working on a ton of projects. One of them is this lovely shirt dress. I used Simplicity Lisette pattern 2246 with a few minor changes.

I love a good business card. I will waste hours looking at custom business card and letter press websites. I had an idea of a clear business card, something really unique and unusual. It turned out to be super easy. All you have to do is print your design on transparency material and laminate it to make it sturdy.

Christmas is coming up and I'm starting to get prepared. I've ordered some standard sized kraft boxes for earrings, but I couldn't find any for a specific size that I need. I made a very simple template for a slide box measuring 5" x 2.5" x 1.5".

We have two adorable little lion head rabbits that we love to spend time with. They free roam the upstairs when we are home and lately they have shown a lot of interest of getting on the bed with us. Trouble is that they are just so little that it is really difficult for them to make it up there.

Loom bead work is very beautiful and a lot faster than the square stitch, but I just hate setting it up and finishing the ends. Your left with all the threads sticking out all wonky and messy. With the square stitch there are no ends to finish. In this post I'm gonna go through how to do the square stitch step by step.

I just finished re-watching The Office (american version) for the 50th time. That is an absolute accurate number. I have even finished it an immediately started it again, that's how much I love this show. I am always quoting the most obscure lines on the show, and I thought I should write them down and do something crafty with it. I decided grocery totes would be the perfect project.

Taking a long hot bath is one of life's great luxuries! Do yourself a huge favor and take it a step further and add some detox elements. My favorite combination is green tea, lavender, and magnesium (one of my all time favorite bath and body ingredients). Green tea is such a detox powerhouse, it is super beneficial for your skin, a great antioxidant, and of course relaxing. Green tea will make your skin softer and help eliminate toxins from the body.

I'm sort of a messy person and I'm naturally unorganized. I'm working little by little on changing that. My life is a little hectic with work and my personal projects and unless I write things down and make lists I will get absolutely nothing done. If I have everything planned out in writing then I know exactly what I need to get done and how much time I can afford to do nothing, and I really like doing nothing. I have designed a few different styles of planner trying to find one that works for me best.

My husband and I recently ventured home to visit some family, and he's always gotta make sure he hits up the high stakes bingo. I got to tell you, this is one of my least favorite things to do in the world. Bingo gives me so much anxiety!! I'm worried about missing numbers, if the caller is calling too fast, and most of all having to yell bingo. Yelling loudly in a room full of quiet people could very well throw me into full on panic mode.

DIY Polaroid Magnets
I found this very awesome, very quick tutorial a while back that I just had to share! You can read the full post over on Pop Sugar. I did not use foam board but as you can see below mine turned out just fine. The spray mount is really messy so make sure you spray it outside or put some scrap paper down to catch the stray spray.
Rooting Succulents
I LOVE succulents. They are pretty low maintenance, and come in all sorts of different colors and shapes. Unfortunately my first go around with them turned out very poorly and I ended up killing all of them. I watered them too much and put a few in direct sunlight and fried them. Since then I research the different species I buy to make sure I am taking care of them correctly. If you have ever had any succulents then you know that they tend to drop leaves. You can use these dropped leaves to grow more plants.

I am not normal, I have never claimed to be. While most little girls dream of fancy elaborate weddings, just the thought of such an event focused on me gives me extreme anxiety. I am not a spotlight kind of gal, I am pretty much a wallflower and very very OK with that. My wedding consisted of four people: my husband, myself, and our two friends. Anything larger and I would have had a major meltdown. With that being said I also went with a very non-traditional wedding ring.
